Evaluation of arsenate tolerance and arsenic content in rice

Traits Being Studied:

• leaf and arsenic content (and concentration) in multiple field sites
• arsenate tolerance (ratio of root length of plants grown 1 week in hydroponics in arsenate solution over control-- at least 50 is required)
• plant height
• flowering time
• biomass and yield at field sites
